Why mess around with a multi entry Non-Imm-O/A visa, if you can get your longstay permit much easier with a 90-days Non-Imm-O Retirement visa.

in case you enter Thailand at any of theses dates with a "90-days Non-Imm-O visa" and change from the visa to the "one year extension of stay permit based on retirement", keep in mind that your yearly to be applied for extension will start the day AFTER your 90-days visa expires.

I see December 11 the fittest for this approach

So if you enter December 11 with a freshly obtained Non-Imm-O retirement visa, you will be stamped in until March 10th

This means, your extension of stay begins on March 11th. Every year, you apply for another extension from up to 30 days before the extension expires.

This would match with an application window beginning as early as on February 12th or 13th (depending on February having 28 or 29 days), and during these 30 days you will most obviously still be hibernating in Thailand every other year

For each 1-year extension, you can buy a multi entry permit for 3800.- THB, which will allow you an unlimited number of entries into Thailand for the duration of the extension of stay permit.

Not saying, that for the Extension Of Stay Permit, you will have to show the financial proof, it being EITHER a minimum of 800,000.- THB on your Thai bank account, OR a Dutch embassy of Bangkok legalized proof of monthly income (income affidavit) showing not under 65,000.- THB
