TLDR : Answer Summary
The user plans to return to Thailand after a short stay in the UK and apply for a Non-O visa followed by a retirement visa. Discussions indicate that applying for the Non-O visa before leaving the UK is advisable, and obtaining a 90-day Non-O visa will allow for an extension after setting up a bank account in Thailand with the required funds. There's concern about a previous 5-day overstay affecting the new visa application.

It's a non 0 not a none o

Apply for a non o 3 months online then get it extended to stay for a further 12 months

I've told you this already

If or when you have had 800,000 baht in a Thai bank account for 2 months, with the accompanying proof and bank letter, you can apply for your 12 months extension of stay and you need your bank book updated on the day of the application.

I had a 2 day over stay the year before and all was ok, the non O visa is £60, you have to convert your documents to a pdf file and attach it to the application, they also want evidence that you have 18k or more in a UK bank account. I got my non O visa back within a week of applying, you have 3 months then to enter Thailand, the 90 days start from when you land.

You are mixing your understanding. Apply for a 90 day visa based on being over 50 before you leave the UK. Once you are in Thailand open a bank account and put a minimum of 800k baht in it, which must be there for 2 full calendar months before you can apply for a 12 month extension of stay (not a visa). So you need to get onto opening a bank account fairly quickly

Non-O before you arrive IS the retirement visa. Valid 90 days after entry so you open bank account and apply for 12 month extension based on retirement when it's seasoned.
