I had (and have had for a decade) yearly extension visa for marriage to Thai husband. I exited Thailand for the summer and had totally forgot my re-entry, so annoyed, I only realised and my flight is in a day. I can come in on the tourist stamp for 60 days (Uk citizen) but to apply for non o Imm visa to restart my marriage visa, do I have to do it out of country? For example, with e-visa I see you have to stay the full duration in the country youโre applying from. Do I have any other options? Like if I apply for a tourist visa in UK now and it is approved in a few days when Iโm in Thailand on the 60 day tourist stamp, can I then use this Uk issued tourist visa if I exit and enter Thailand? Sorry for the length and ignorance!
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, a UK citizen with a yearly marriage extension visa, forgot to obtain a re-entry permit before exiting Thailand. They are seeking guidance on their options for re-entering Thailand and reinstating their marriage visa. Suggestions from commenters indicate that the user can enter Thailand on a 60-day tourist stamp and then may apply for a 90-day Non-O visa based on marriage at an immigration office in Thailand, provided the office offers such services. It is also recommended to maintain sufficient funds in a Thai bank account. Some advice was given for future re-entry permit procurement as a precaution.
