Hi guys.

A month ago I got Non-o visa in vientiane for 3 month.

Next step is marriage visa.

I still have 2 month left now.

How long time before do I have to apply for marriage and what is the process?

Some people say I will get 1 month before getting the marriage visa, is that true?

TLDR : Answer Summary
After obtaining a Non-O visa, you can apply for a marriage visa for an extension one to one and a half months before your current visa expires. There is typically a one-month review period while your application is under consideration.
NON-O RETIREMENT VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES

You are already on a Non-O visa based on marriage. What you are going to do is apply for a yearly extension, not a new visa.

Lloyd already provided the general information, but you need an exact one from your local office. Go get the latest handout for a yearly extension based on marriage from them.

This is a generic list of requirements

between 3-45 days before you can apply for the year extension and yes you will probably have a 1 month "under consideration" period.

is it smart to drag it out or am I being stupid to do so?

pointless to do so. Nothing to gain

will they be okay with just 3 days before?

I am thinking about dragging it out so I have more time before I have to apply again in 1 year time.

just so you're clear the year will be from the date your current 90 day stamp expires no matter when you apply

it doesn't work that way. Whether you apply when you have 1 day left or 45 days left, the extension is going to be added to the end of your current stamp. The 1 year starts then and will be the same next year and every other year as long as you keep doing extensions.

sorry, typo, I meant 30-45 days before, do it early and that gives you time incase you need any extra paperwork
