Entering Thailand with my Visa

Ok so I received my Non O visa. I have it digitally on my phone and printed copies as well. When I hit immigration do I just present the printed copy with my passport?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When entering Thailand with your Non-O visa, you should present your printed visa along with your passport at immigration. While officials may have your information in their system, it is advisable to provide the printed copy to avoid potential mistakes. Additionally, be prepared to show your TDAC if requested, though it can also be displayed on your phone. Always double-check the stamp given to ensure it accurately reflects your visa status.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be agents.co.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

You don’t need to print off the TDAC. But the evisa should be printed and kept with your passport.

Bob Viola only need it on your phone if asked. Considering you can complete the TDAC in the airport without being able to print it off so not every one can have a print out

Yes. They should have it on their system that you have a non O but may not notice it. Give them the printed version to confirm, and double check the stamp they give you. It’s much harder to correct an error afterwards.

May I ask if you've ever seen the actual IO's terminal once a passport is swiped ?

I find it hard to believe everything available isn't right there in front of them, along with the person's past entries.

I know the TDAC is there, as I offered in late November but was told they already saw it. I can't imagine a visa not right there.

As stated. It should be there. But the IO is processing hundreds of people per day. When you’ve previously done 35+ visa exempt you probably get into a ā€œproduction line modeā€ and could quite easily miss a visa listing.

I see people weekly coming in to the office with wrong stamps that they failed to notice until it was too late. One yesterday from a guy with a DTV who was stamped in for 60 days and only noticed after 5 days of overstay.

Always print out visas and hand them over with your passport and double check the stamp the IO gives you. Humans make mistakes. It’s way easier to fix on the spot than later and the onus is on you to correct any errors not on the IO for making them.

Sure they're processing many people but there's only 1 (+partner/family)standing in front of them at a time.

I asked if you've seen the terminals because I would think there wouldn't be lists of all incoming passengers expected, but instead, one swipe of passport would simply bring up ALL that person's details. Family too if traveling together.

TDAC, VISA (if any), history of visits etc, About the only things that need to be done from there is for the IO to ask any questions, take a picture, get the person's prints, stamp the passport, and off you go.

Like my experience this past November.

Yes I’ve seen the terminals. I work at immigration. I also see a lot of those people who don’t check their stamps.
