Hello all!

I need some help how to start correctly,

This time gonna be a bit complicated, any suggestion would be helpful and i really appreciate for your time.

I am staying on my LA visa (labour visa and myanmar passport holder)

Feb-2024 will be expire for both visa and workpermit,

then, I will have another job which will sponsor me with a Non B visa.

My passport will also expire July-2024 too.

They mentioned me to get TR visa first, then they will proceed for Non B.

How should I approach correctly one by one, I am so confuse and don't know how to start.

Very thankful for your contribution with any suggestion.

Thank you in advance guys !

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently on an LA visa and work permit, both expiring in February 2024, and is seeking guidance on transitioning to a Non-B visa for a new job. They are advised to renew their passport before proceeding with visa cancellations and applications. Suggestions include thoroughly canceling the LA visa, re-entering Thailand on a tourist visa after obtaining a new passport, and possibly employing an agent for assistance. A community member shares their experience to highlight the lengthy process involved.

If ur on a L-A Migrant visa and want switch to a Non B visa< You must first cancel the L-A visa/wp and apply<

leave thailand, go back to burma, get a new passport and re enter on tourist visa as the 15 days visa exempt is not enough time>

MY wife did that<although she is Cambodian

if u want an agent in phuket that is very helpful , let me know

FYI: it took over 4 months this year to get her wp and only last week got her wp smart card, 10 months after started things

her Non Thai id card took 8 months!@!

Out of curiosity (& please don’t feel obligated to answer if you don’t want to), do you hold a PV-type passport?

As above get a new passport frist

I'm not sure what your rules for your country for renewal of your passport but before you send the passport away take photos of every page of your passport just in case they lose it

. If the company that offered you the job is pushing you to get a tourist visa, be wary. Do not start working for them until you have the B visa and a work permit.

Many shady employers here make promises they don't keep.regarding visas that allow you to work here. If there is any breach of work laws, YOU are penalised severely, including deportation. They walk away scot free.
