I am Burmese coming to Laos to apply for tourist visa after staying in Thailand for 14 days (visa free).
When I planned to leave Thailand from Nong Khai, Thai immigration officer denied me to leave by land and told me to take flight.
I had to go back to Bangkok, took a flight, came to Laos and applied for TR visa.
So, I am wondering if I enter Thailand again this time, do I need to take flight or can I cross by land? Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Burmese national faced difficulties exiting Thailand by land and had to fly to Laos to apply for a tourist visa. They are now wondering if they can re-enter Thailand by land after obtaining a tourist visa. Comments suggest that with the visa issued, re-entry by land at the Nong Khai border should be possible.
