Hello

I am Burmese coming to Laos to apply for tourist visa after staying in Thailand for 14 days (visa free).

When I planned to leave Thailand from Nong Khai, Thai immigration officer denied me to leave by land and told me to take flight.

I had to go back to Bangkok, took a flight, came to Laos and applied for TR visa.

So, I am wondering if I enter Thailand again this time, do I need to take flight or can I cross by land? Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Burmese national is inquiring about the possibility of re-entering Thailand by land after having obtained a tourist visa in Laos. Previously, they were denied exit from Thailand by land and had to travel by flight. Comments suggest that with a valid tourist visa, re-entry via the Nong Khai border should be permitted.

don't know why they denied you exiting thailand by land at Nong Khai, burmese can enter Lao by land

Once you get your tourist visa issued you should be able to enter thailand by Nong Khai border because you will have a valid visa in your passport.

If you didn't get the visa you couldn't because Burmese only get 14 days without a visa when entering by air
