Hello,
I'm trying to figure out for how many months my passport need to be valid when applying for a 90-days Non Immigrant O Visa based on being over 50?
Same question when I go to Immigration in Saraburi for my 1 year extension, if there are a difference between these two?
Arrival at Suvarnabhumi on August 20th, soon I'll start my Visa application using affidavit from Swedish Embassy in Bangkok about the financial requirements.
My passport expire July 5th 2027.
I'm sorry if this question being up here before but could not find anything about it.
Thanks!
TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a 90-day Non-Immigrant O Visa in Thailand, your passport should be valid for the entire duration of your stay and ideally beyond your visa's expiration. Since your passport expires on July 5, 2027, you are within the limits for both the 90-day visa and the one-year extension. It's recommended to ensure that your passport remains valid for at least an additional six months after the end of your extension to ease any further applications or renewals.
