Hello,
I'm trying to figure out for how many months my passport need to be valid when applying for a 90-days Non Immigrant O Visa based on being over 50?
Same question when I go to Immigration in Saraburi for my 1 year extension, if there are a difference between these two?
Arrival at Suvarnabhumi on August 20th, soon I'll start my Visa application using affidavit from Swedish Embassy in Bangkok about the financial requirements.
My passport expire July 5th 2027.
I'm sorry if this question being up here before but could not find anything about it.
Thanks!
TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a 90-day Non-Immigrant O Visa in Thailand, your passport should be valid throughout the duration of the visa you are applying for. Since your passport expires on July 5, 2027, it will be valid for the entire 90-day visa and the subsequent 1-year extension, which should be completed before your passport expiry. You may want to renew your passport before your second year's extension to avoid any issues.
