What is the required duration for a bank statement when applying for a Thai visa with 500k THB?

I’m aware that 500k THB bank statement is required but I’d like some clarification regarding how long?

I know it says 3 months, but I’ve seen some say online that applications have been accepted while they only had 1 month statements of the funds available.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement for a bank statement showing 500,000 THB varies by embassy. While the standard duration is typically 3 months, experiences shared by users indicate some embassies may accept statements from as short as 1 month, especially if the applicant's financial status is strong. Applicants are advised to directly contact the relevant embassy for specific requirements, as experiences differ by location.

I submitted 3 months to the Berlin embassy, but it was only fulfilling the 500k requirement on the day of submission.

I think it depends on the embassy and your work. My partner applied in Jakarta and only had one month, but his work profile and cash flow were strong. We submitted three months of income payments from clients, but only one month showing $15k in the bank statement.

You can literally put the funds in your account a day before applying virtually anywhere but in Laos. Statement length may vary though.

what if the increase in bank balance is significant? Ie. An obvious large irregular deposit

Depends. Some consulates don't care. Probably best to build up the balance over time though, if you can.

if I apply with 1 month and then they ask for 3 months, do they just hold the visa status as Pending? Or cancel all together and make me reapply?

Anonymous participant Where are you applying? Anywhere but Laos should be fine to do that but best to submit 6 months worth of statements (some require that) but it doesn't mean you have to hold 500,000 for the entire 6 months.

From our experinces, most of the countries requires at least 3 months, still we have seen that the Phillipines and the UK still accept the money in the account for around 1 month. However, we still strongly recommend you to have the money for at least 3 months as this will help stengthening your visa application a lot

You have to go by where you are located for me it's was the Washington. It tells you which one to use once you begin the application

If you are from a naughty state or applying at a naughty state then it will be 3 months. Otherwise it’s 1 day.

Depends on the embassy, some are ok with the money put in the account a day earlier, some require 3 months, some 6. Just ring or mail the embassy you intend to apply at

This can slightly vary from Embassy to Embassy and it’s suggested you reach out to them directly.
