Do I need to have 3 months of bank statements for my Visa application in Thailand?

I just realized that we needed 3 months of bank statements. I was planning to get my Visa in Vietnam in February, but I only moved the funds over to my savings account this month from my brokerage account. I have the funds, they just haven't been sitting there in savings for 3 months. Is this ok or does it need to be for 3 months?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement for the duration of bank statements varies based on the embassy you are applying to. While some people mention needing statements for 3 or 6 months, others have successfully used current balances without issue. It's advisable to maintain your funds in the account for the specified duration to avoid complications during your Visa application, as specific banks and embassies may interpret requirements differently.

I never gave 3 months. I just gave the current balance. It was accepted without question

It depends of the Embassy you will apply at, if the money needs to be readily avaiable in a bankaccount, 1, 3, or 6 month before you apply.

The longer the better, with it not being put clearly in the account for the purpose to get the DTV, but evolded steadily over time.

Better to wait first just save visa fee.

You might get away with providing the required number of months as long as the most recent months closing balance shows the required amount

You will need 6 months statements my friend provided 5 and was asked for more to give full 6 months

You can keep it in your brokerage account.

if it says 3months it needs to be in there for 3 months. This is one of the main reasons people are getting rejected.
