Hey Guys! I have a couple of questions. I’m currently applying for the Thailand Visa. I Live in the US as a permanent resident but I’m a citizen of Colombia (South America) How long does it usually take for the visa to be approved?

Also, do I need to apply for a visa or is the Thailand pass enough? Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Colombian citizen residing in the US must apply for a visa to enter Thailand, in addition to obtaining a Thailand Pass. The processing time for the visa, particularly via e-visa options, typically takes a few days. The TR60 visa allows for an initial stay of 60 days, which can be extended for an additional 30 days at an immigration office. It's important to check the latest requirements regarding health insurance coverage, as some sources mention differing coverage amounts depending on the country of arrival.

Looks like you'll need a physical visa being a resident of US with Colombian passport but it will let you know where to apply

With out a visa you can enter for 30 days then extend at immigration office for fee of 1900baht for another 30 days total 60 days or you can apply before you come for TR60 visa giving you 60 days plus extend another 30days total 90 days

@Wayne ********
not if he has a Colombian passport. Visa exempt is not open to all nations

Thank you, my intentions is to go there for at least 3 months, go to the philipines and come back to thailand when I'm allowed to come back. Do you know how long I have to be out of the country in order to apply for a new visa?
Brett **********
@Luis ******
i don't believe there is any wait time between applications but I could be wrong. But to answer your previous question apply for tourist visa. Your best bet will probably be to apply for a multi entry tourist visa so you only need the one visa and don't have to worry about applying again in Philippine's. The visa will be valid for 6 months and let you stay in Thailand for up to 60 days on each entry (but you can also get that extended at immigration for another 30 days each time)

I ran into an issue. They said I sent my application to the wrong embassy. I sent it to the Los Angeles Embassy but I was supposed to send it to DC. I don’t think there is a way to edit the original application to send it to the correct embassy so now I have to reapply and Pay again for the application correct? Which of these visas is the one I should be applying for? Tourism? Please help me

Colombian citizens must have a visa to enter. You’ll also need to have a ThailandPass. If you’re able to do the evisa it should only be a few days.
