TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers arriving in Phuket via the Sandbox may initially receive a 30-day tourist visa or visa exemption. It can potentially be extended by an additional 60 days under COVID regulations if the entry occurs before the 25th of the month, resulting in a total stay of up to 90 days. Extensions beyond this period may be possible based on financial status or by obtaining the appropriate visa prior to arrival.

If you want to stay longer get the right visa before you fly to Thailand. If you can fly in WHY can’t you fly out the country isnt closed

If you have enough money getting a visa extension for as long as you wish is no problem.
If you arrive before the 25th you can get a covid extension up to 60 days aswell so you should be able to enter on 30 days and then get that for 90 days total
you can’t get the 60 day covid extension unless they extend after the 25th. They make you take the 30 day extension first, although it is likely they will extend the covid extension rules. And after your 90 days, you can then get an education visa. Learn Thai, Muay Thai etc. cost approx 20,000 baht.

i used a Covid extension last year on my TR 60 without using my 30 day extension, it depends on the office
General consensus it’s extremely likely they extend the Covid visas past the 25th, but likely won’t know until days before
They are supposed to be stricter with the Covid visas, probably no issue if you’re asking for your first, if you’re on your 6th they might not like that
how is it easy to receive the covid extension if the person has round trip tickets, and is able to leave the country?

Raece Grindrod. Most immigration offices will issue the 30 day extension before issuing a covid extension, so the OP might be limited to only 60 days if the covid concession is not extended further
