With an initial 90 day O visa, how early can you do the extension? And on the other side, how soon do you need to do the extension? The 90 day O visa expires on 13 October.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A 90-day Non-O visa can typically be extended within 30 to 45 days before its expiration. In this case, since the visa expires on October 13, you can start the extension process anytime from September 16 onwards. It is advised to check with your local Thai Immigration office regarding specific requirements, especially considering current processing times.

Thanks guys! It is an education visa. On the second part, must it be done so many days before the expiration of the visa? That is, giving IO time to process the documents, especially now with the reported crack down on education extension.
As James said at most offices you can apply for an extension when you have 30 days or less, so seeing as it's the 16th of Sept you can do it any time now ๐
