I have submitted a non O single entry 90 day visa with the intent to get a retirement visa when I arrive in Thailand. My only concern is I arrive on the 25 October and return on the 24th April(182 days) when the visa states 90 day stay should I be Okay?
Answer summary
The user is concerned about their ability to stay in Thailand for 182 days on a Non-O single entry visa, which allows for a 90-day stay. Other comments provide advice on reentry permits, the process of extending a visa, and the importance of a Non-O visa for setting up a bank account needed for a retirement visa.

Cameron Murdoch if you plan to exit and re-enter Thailand more often than three times within the 1-year extension of the stay permit, a multi re-entry permit for 3800 Baht makes sense. However, if you only plan to exit once or twice during this one-year stay permit period, a single re-entry permit for 1000 Baht is the more economic route. You can buy it at the Immigration office and also at the BKK airport in the section "Departure 2"

Don't forget to get a re-entry permit before you leave ,if you dont you will loose the 12month extension.

You get 60 days, then extend 30 days then you have to leave the country for I think it’s now 7 nights, then you get 60 days and can extend another 30 days

When in Thailand last year an agent advised me the single O was the best way so it allows you to get a bank account which enables you to get a retirement visa

Cameron Murdoch The OP will have the retirement Non-O visa so will use this to get the bank account needed for the 12 month Extension of Stay (not a visa)
