Question about the GUARDIAN VISA on behalf of a friend.
If a 4 year old is registered at an international kindergarten and is given a student visa , wouldn't one of the parents get a guardian visa at the same time? I am told that the child can get a student visa immediately but the parent will only get one after the first year -- or perhaps through the 'chinese telephone' , I was misinformed and totally misunderstand how this works.
AI says that a deposit of 500K is required in a Thai bank under that parent's name. But how does that parent open an account if he doesn't have a visa?
What the approximate fee for an agent to do this -- or is this what the school does for the parent? I'd appreciate recommendation of any amiable, helpful, reasonably-priced agent I can refer my friend to, to talk to or hire.
