Do my husband and I both need £11k in our bank accounts to apply for a Thailand DTV visa?

Hello, really sorry if this is an obvious question or stupid. I have done lots of research but not clear. I plan to come to Thailand on DTV to have surgery in Bangkok (will have proof). I need a specialist & waiting times in UK Via NHS is 18+ months, private costs are extortionate, whereas Bangkok, specialist consultant can see me within months and £10k rather than £20k+ in UK! Am I right that if my husband moves with me we EACH need £11k GBP in our bank accounts to meet DTV requirements and EACH need to apply for a DTV? Any advice / answers would be greatly appreciated 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual inquiring about the DTV visa for Thailand has concerns regarding the financial requirements for themselves and their husband as they plan to move for medical treatment. They believe that each person must have £11,000 in their bank accounts to meet the visa requirements. Responses in the comments clarify that one partner can apply first and the other can apply as a dependent, potentially using the same bank account to meet the financial criteria.

Yes - but you can spend it when you get here - as long as you are doing border re-entries rather than extensions.

I had a 3 disc ACDF, in B Intl Hospital, honestly was best decision I’ve ever made. Saw me within 3 days and operated within 4. If you have any questions let me know.

One can apply then other can apply as dependent after first approved

If both are on same account it is fine to then use that same account for 2nd persons dependent app
