ORIGINAL POSTER
Me and my girlfriend want to get a DTV visa. I meet the requirements (business owner in UK, 500k+) but she doesn’t.

It is possible for dependents to also get a DTV. How can she become a legal dependent without marriage?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the possibility of their girlfriend obtaining a Thailand DTV visa as a dependent, despite not meeting the necessary criteria. Comments clarify that dependents must be a legal spouse or children, according to Thai immigration laws. Suggestions include applying separately under different categories, such as a soft power visa (e.g., Muay Thai, cooking), or exploring alternative visa solutions through sponsorship from the user’s business or employing her directly.

The dtv visa has no legs

This has not been thought through as per usual

Local immigration offices are clueless to the thing

In numerous occasions immigration at airports are also clueless regarding what ok and what's not

More over Muay Thai gyms all over the country are being inspected on a daily basis to check the validity of the DVT holders

It has no legs ,and will for sure be removed and revoked in not too distant future

Beware

If you are a business owner, you can try to use your company to apply for her a digital nomad, work from any where type of visa. Whereby she works in Thailand using online or Internet work, show that she has a steady income from overseas.

Could you perhaps hire her through your company and write a letter but you would just have to put the money in her account

You’re calling her dependent, but she’s not according to Thailand. I suggest Thai language school.

She can't apply as your dependant as it is only for spouse or children, so a marriage certificate is required.

The only way to do it is you each apply seperately for the dtv. She can apply under soft power (eg muay thai, cooking etc) and you help her with the 500k funds in a bank account under her own name. Some embassies the funds only need to be in her account on the day of application (but she will need it in a savings account with at least 6 months of bank statements).

She can't be your dependant unless you are married. She would need to find a way to apply for the DTV in her own right, she could use one of the soft power categories

Legally she relates nothing to you

So she can't take a legal DTV as a dependent

for the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV), the following are classified as eligible "dependants" and qualify to get a DTV Visa under the "Dependant" category of the DTV:

1.) a legal spouse as evidenced by a Marriage Certificate;

2.) Children under the age of 20 as evidenced by the main DTV Visa Holder listed as a Parent on the child's Birth Certificate or Adoption Decree

She can't. Either she applies as your wife or your daughter.

So help her make some money so she can apply for her own DTV or have her come and study thai to get an ED visa.
