How can I add my wife as a dependent on my DTV visa in Thailand?

I was approved for the DTV out of the Los Angeles office, on my second pass. First pass was rejected because of middle name versus middle initial on application. I applied under the remote worker category.

I just saw someone post about adding a dependent after being approved. My wife is currently on the one year renewable retirement visa. We would consider adding her as a dependent of mine. I do travel back and forth to the states often. She stays in Thailand for much longer periods of time, but the 180 day max would not be an issue as we do a lot of travel to nearby countries.

I know I can research on my own, but can anyone give feedback on the process of adding her to mine and anything we should be aware of? Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user successfully applied for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) through the Los Angeles office and is now looking to add his wife, who holds a one-year renewable retirement visa, as a dependent. Community feedback suggests the process involves selecting a 'dependent' option on the e-visa application, providing necessary documents such as the marriage certificate, proof of funds, and possibly a sponsorship letter. Users mentioned it's a straightforward process, similar to the initial application but with adjustments for the dependent's documentation.

We added a sponsorship letter in addition to our marriage certificate.

Exactly the same process but declare your visa as the reason for hers with marriage certificate instead of employment.

Really easy. There is a section on the e visa page when selecting DTV e-visa, a drop down down that shows dependant. Select that and submit a copy of your DTV, the marriage license, proof of funds and anything else the embassy you apply at requests.

Question, were you physically in LA? Thinking to apply in Chicago embassy tho I’m currently traveling..

check the embassy website.

And you may have to stay at the same adress, until the visa is approved, and again read the Embassy / consulate website.
