Hello, please where to go in Bangkok when I want to extend my tourist visa for extra 30 days? If that is maximum what I can do when I am in Thailand already?

I was stamped for 30 days at Airport when I arrived. And can I print photo at imigrancy office there for money? Thanks🙏🏼

TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend your tourist visa in Bangkok, go to the Thai Immigration office located at IT Laksi Square on the 3rd floor, counter K. You can extend your stay for an additional 30 days for a fee of 1900 baht, but make sure you have a TM30 address registration. If you are unable to find work for a work visa, you may consider leaving Thailand and re-entering for a new visa. The terms 'border bounce' or 'border run' refer to this process of leaving and re-entering Thailand to obtain a new visa.

And if I can ask guys, after my extension for 30 days, which option is best for me if I will not find work which will give me work visa/permit ?

To be honest I am new here, just trying to move here and stay here…

I can go somewhere out of Thailand and have 60 days visa for example? I heard words like “ border bounce” “border run” but dont know meaning …

And with that I will close the comments on your original question.

You can do Max of 2 LAND BORDER BOUNCE EACH CALENDAR YEAR. Each can get a 30 day extension of stay at Thai immigration office for 1900 Thai baht.

Put your thinking cap on... And as this Year of 2023 is coming to a close...you can get 2 border bounces this Year and 2 in 2024.

Good Luck 🍀

A border bounce is where you typically cross a land border in to another adjacent country and re enter Thailand (perhaps the same day). You’re re stamped for 30 days and can extend once.

A “visa run” is where you travel to a nearby embassy or consulate and buy a tourist visa before entering Thailand to get a 60 day stay, again extendable once for 30 days.

Visa exempt entries via a land border are limited to two entries in a calendar year. No technical limit via air but you’re not going to able to do as such long term before an immigration officer pulls you up and says no more.

and now that's a New question...

As you arrived into Thailand Visa EXEMPT, you were STAMPED in for 30 days.

During that time you are to make application for the 30 days extension of stay at the IT Laksi Square Thai Immigration office. The 30 days are ADDED to your current ending date.

These are the common found requirements for the 30 days extension of stay at Thai immigration office for 1900 Thai baht...be sure you have a TM30 address registration on file with Thai Immigration.

thank you very much for answer, Yeah I saw this graphic … I already have TM30 🙏🏼

If you were stamped in for 30 days then you didn’t have a tourist visa. You were stamped in visa exempt - a free stamp that allows you 30 days of stay.

In Bangkok you can extend that once for 30 days at IT Square, Laksi Plaza. 3rd floor counter K.

Sounds like you don't have ANY visa and just showed up here and got stamped in FREE for 30 days

In Bangkok on 30 day free entry stamps to get an extension you go to the immigration office at IT Square Laksi Plaza 3rd Floor here
