Wanting to get a normal 30 day tourist extension here in Bangkok, I assume I just go to the office at muang thong thani for this? the online instructions aren't that clear. How long of a process is this? should I plan on a day? 555. Thanks for the advice in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend your 30-day tourist visa in Bangkok, you should visit the Muang Thong Thani (MTT) office if you entered visa exempt, or the Chaengwattana office if you have a tourist visa (TR60). The extension process takes approximately 20 minutes, but the waiting time may vary depending on the number of applicants ahead of you. Ensure you have copies of your passport, entry stamp, TM6, TM30, one photograph, and the fee of 1900 Baht.

Yes, you need proof of TM30 submission in Bangkok for all extensions. Either the receipt from your landlord or a screenshot if a hotel did one online.

The process is only 20 minutes or so. The issue is how many people there may be before you.

If you came in on a tourist visa (TR60) you go to Chaengwattana. If you entered visa exempt you go to MTT.
