How can I expedite my e-visa application for Thailand as an Algerian citizen?

I applied for an e-visa for Thailand 3 days ago. I am from Algeria, and I need the response as soon as possible because my leave dates have been changed, and I have to travel as soon as possible. Is there a solution to speed up the review process?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is an Algerian citizen who applied for an e-visa to Thailand and is seeking ways to expedite the approval process due to changed travel plans. Responses from the community indicate that there is generally no way to speed up the e-visa review process once submitted; the applicant must wait for the official response from the embassy where they applied. Suggestions include contacting the embassy to explain the urgency of the situation, possibly framing it as an emergency, or trying to follow up with an email marked "URGENT ABOUT VISA." However, waiting in the country of application is a requirement during the processing period.

They clearly state on the Paris embassy page that the visa review and approval process takes 4+ weeks. That is over 28 days but you think that you having waited 3 days makes you eligible to move to the front of the line?

There might be a way to speed it up, but ask your embassy not facebook group. I got accepted the next day after i sent email with "URGENT ABOUT VISA" in the topic, to the Finnish embassy in august 2024

He’s from algeria, maybe not as on the ball as our embassy’s 🤣 the Thai embassy in london was decent aswell when I needed them. So was the British embassy in Bangkok. Literally typed the paperwork I needed in half hour instead of waiting to he posted

Contact the Embassy, explain the emergency, like the death of a family member.

Based on good reasons the Embassy can decide to speed up the process.

Based on I need to travel as I booked flighs is not a good reason

You can fly to Laos/Cambodia and wait for approval and immediately enter Thailand via land or air

MagentaWallaby8738 You can think whatever you want, but rules are very clear about this, you should stay in the country where you apply during the application process.

That is also the reason why they sometimes ask for extra info to prove that you are still in the country.

You can send the embassy an email explaining your situation. They sometimes speed up the process but don't take that as granted

Your best bet is probably to contact the embassy directly and explain your situation.

You must stay in the country where you submitted the application until the visa decision is given. Also there is no way to expedite the application process once submitted. Good luck
