So I am a Pakistani, working in China. From Feb 8th to 18th I planning to visit Thailand. I booked the hotels and flights, prepared all the necessary documents and applied for visa on 19th of Jan. Next day, they requested me some documents and I uploaded those documents on 21st Jan. Its been so many days and I am still waiting for my visa approval. Did anyone else gone through the same experience? My travel date is just few days away now and no response from them is stressing me out! I have sent them email but got no response.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Pakistani individual working in China is anxious about their Thai visa application, which is delayed just days before their travel date. They applied for the visa on January 19, but after submitting additional documents requested on January 21, they haven’t received approval. A commenter notes that the Thai embassy advises applying at least 15 business days before travel and suggests that due to recent busy schedules processing absentee ballots for overseas Thais, there may be further delays. They recommend contacting the embassy for expedited processing.

Most Thai embassies advise applying at least 15 business days before your planned travel. Some say longer, but I've never seen any Thai embassy recommend less time.

19 January is 14 business days before 8 February, and the count normally resets if they ask for additional documents. That means 21 January is 12 business days before 8 February.

On top of all of that, most Thai embassies in the world have been very busy the last 2 weeks with mailing out and processing Thai absentee ballots for overseas Thais that are voting in the current election. They are prioritizing this over foreigner visa applications.

That means it's very possible you will not receive your visa in time. The only option you have is trying to contact the embassy and asking them for expedited processing. But other than that, you have no options because you do not qualify for visa exempt or visa on arrival.
