I have a question on retirement visa changing to a work visa.
I am currently on a retirement visa with a multi-entry. I am going to start work for a Thai company so how do I cancel my retirement visa? Or do I cancel my multi-entry visa then leave the country which will void my retirement visa when I come back? The company said I will have to go to KL Thai embassy to get a single entry then come back to Thailand and get the WP etc. I just want to ensure I do this correct? The company that I am going to work for aren’t sure how I go about this either!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking guidance on how to transition from a retirement visa to a work visa after accepting a job offer in Thailand. They have a multi-entry retirement visa and need to know whether to cancel this visa or leave the country first. The responses suggest that they should keep the retirement visa active until securing the necessary paperwork for a Non-B visa and work permit, then cancel the retirement visa and proceed to an embassy in a neighboring country for the Non-B visa.

You need to cancel your retirement visa, leave the country and get a non-b return and obtain your work permit. The company you will be working for should provide all the necessary paperwork for both the Non-B and the work permit. I would keep your retirement active until you have all the paperwork for your non-b then cancel it and go to an embassy in a neighbouring country
