I would like to know which agencies can help with switching from a DTV (what I have now) to Non-B visa and a work permit (what I want). I know what some other people have paid so if you’re an agency that is going to give me a quote of like ฿50,000 please don’t bother commenting on this post. Let me know, Thanks!
Summary so far
The original query seeks recommendations for agencies that assist with transitioning from a DTV visa to a Non-B visa and obtaining a work permit in Thailand, while expressing disinterest in agencies quoting a high fee (around ฿50,000). The comments provide various opinions and advice, including warnings against overstaying visas and the importance of following immigration rules, but do not specifically name agencies that could help with the process.

Never plan for overstay.

Overstay is never an option. If you rock up to the airport and assume that you just pay 1k baht, you may be unlucky and they may stamp your passport and even if they don't, it is still in the system. And if you Re unlucky enough to gey checked and or caught during the 2 days, you can be arrested and processed as an overstayer and that could be even more troublesome.

It's still 60 days until its published in the Royal Gazette. No idea when you come but if you get a 30 day stamp, get an extension at immigration for 1900baht.

If you are going for more than 30 days and don't have the relevant visa, the airline in Australia can refuse to let you fly.

You’re getting some pretty sound advice. Don’t over stay, then pay at the airport.

With immigration rules tightening, you would be smart to apply for a tourist visa in your home country. That’ll give you 60 days.

If you apply for an extension here, it’ll take longer and cost you more than just applying for the 60day visa.

Like I said, immigration is tightening the rules because too many people are taking advantage. Play by the rules and you’ll have a wonderful visit without anxiety.

It depends on when you are coming here. If it is within the next three weeks you've got nothing to worry about. The reduction of the visa exempt entry to 30 days doesn't happen until 15 days after it has been published in the Royal Gazette, and that won't happen until it gets out of committee that is determining the fine details, and when it will take effect. You got at least three weeks before it takes effect.

If they change it back to 30 days, you may not be allowed on the flight to Thailand according to where you’re flying from. I know US carriers check that your return meets visa requirements. Just apply before you travel online.

Andy Woo Wells That’s asking for trouble. Suppose they ask to see your onward travel? Do you have a ticket out of Thailand within your permitted period of stay?

they're not going to do anything at the airport. You've been given your options

Apply for a visa or apply for an extension from immigration. If you like waiting in line for 8 hours then do it at immigration. If you would rather spend 10 minutes on your computer, then apply for the tourist visa which will give you 60 days when you arrive. Not applying for the visa is just stupid, honestly.
