Hi. I need some advice please. My husband is on a B Visa with a work permit through the company who employs him, and I'm on an O Visa (3 years now). However our circumstances have changed and he would like to open a company here in Thailand, and he'll obviously get his own work permit. Do we need to leave the country to get new Visa's or can our current Visas be "transferred" to the company he will start (registration and paperwork being done through a Thai bookkeeper/lawyer) ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The current situation involves a husband on a B Visa with a work permit who wishes to open a company in Thailand, while his spouse holds an O Visa. The consensus from community comments indicates that new visas and work permits will be necessary; they cannot be transferred from the existing employment. Specifically, if there is a change in employment or if he starts a new business, they would need to follow the appropriate procedures to obtain new visas and work permits.

If you both on an actual Visa (sticker from Embassy/Consulate) and doing a border run every 90 days, it does not matter if you change employer or start your own company. If you report yourself every 90 days at Immigration Office and have an Extension of Stay, this will be valid till the last day of working at his current job and you have to start all over again. WP can not be transferred.
