Somebody suggested I make a separate post out of this, thanks again for the answers in the other one. So how to avoid being rejected like many others have been, apparently, because of wrong name entry?

Caveat in my case; I happen to have a PhD and there are some funny countries like the one I'm from where this can be put into the passport.

At first I thought it was a good idea, and probably helps at some border checkpoints. However, it is much more trouble than it is worth, esp with regards to air travel, I'll spare you the details. So pictured below are the relevant excerpts name, plus the MRZ. However, the MRZ appears to be somewhat random, also shown the MRZ of my last passport where it is the other way around. Any tips welcome. Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks advice on preventing visa rejection due to potential name discrepancies stemming from the inclusion of their PhD title in their passport. They mention issues with the Machine Readable Zone (MRZ) of their passport being inconsistent, and highlight experiences of others facing similar challenges. Community responses emphasize the importance of ensuring that all documents match the passport details and suggest options like contacting the embassy directly for clarification.

😂I hope putting doctor on your ID was worth the trouble.

Like a decade ago people in the Netherlands even used to put it on the address labels of the magazines they were subscribed to. Like the postman should care if you're a doctor 😂

Without your explanation anyone could just think that DR. forms parts of the name. I've seen many sites, not the Thai Embassy, where you can manually select the title, but if it doesn't, I think I'll just copy paste what it says. You can always claim later that Dr. is part of your name (or surname, whatever it is)

Or else, ask directly to the Embassy you'll be applying for, and show them the same pictures you uploaded here. I doubt they'll answer promptly or at all, tho.

Yeah I've already waited one week for an answer to something very minor, I would like to avoid doing that again, if possible
