Hello I’ve DTV visa already on my hand today but I’m worried that the name format on my visa page is not the same as on my passport as my last name came first on Visa page but last name on passport come last like XYZ become ZXY the thing is that we dont have family name but they put last name first as family name. Please would be appreciate if anyone could advise me if it can pose any problems at immigration, thank you. Sorry to post this anonymous as I supposed someone might know me here as an influencer. Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user expressed concerns about a name format discrepancy between their DTV visa and their passport, specifically with the last name ordered incorrectly. They sought advice on potential problems this might cause at immigration. Community responses indicated that if the consulate accepted the documents as they were filled out, there should be no issue, emphasizing that the visa is a valid identification of the individual despite the name format. Suggestions included contacting the embassy for clarification and keeping documentation as proof of attempts to rectify the situation.

I think you'll be fine with thai immigration. Vietnamese immigration are the ones who would reject

You are probably Burmese and as you mentioned, there is no last name. So basically that does change a lot in the format of your name. However, if the visa is stamped/sticker in your passport, this should be a clear identification of your identity.

Anonymous participant it's already in your passport so no issues with identifying you. I wouldn't worry about it. Enjoy your visa :)

I don't see an issue, with any government body I always say surname first. Anyone can see a name is correct even If transposed.

But, for security as said raise the question for peace of mind and print it.

Does anonymous mean your invisible as well, may not have any problem in that case...sorry making light of it. Lol

I would email the issuing embassy with copy of original application showing name correctly and copy of passport to confirm this and point out THERE mistake and ask for correct document. If they state it IS correct print that and take with you for when you arrive. At least you would have proof you tried to deal with it.

If the consulate/ embassy accepted your passport and how you filled in the forms, you are Golden.

No worries!

If not the personal data is the same as in the machinereadable field at the bottom of the picturepage of the passport, you must expect that the application will be rejected, and the fee is lost.

Or you risk being turned away when trying to enter Thailand.

The Embassy staff can not correct it, and it is clearly stated on most of the Embassy websites, that you have to be extra careful when suppling those data.

VERY good question. This forum has more anonymous posts than seen on other forums. They should not be allowed.

I think the AP is saying it already has the DTV visa in its hand. The first name and surname appear to reversed on the visa; it is suggesting not of its making. And yes the proper thing would be to return to the issuing embassy with its questions.

Why does everything need to done anonymously I wonder …
