TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks clarification on the process of obtaining an additional year on their multi-entry retirement visa (O-A) upon leaving Thailand before the visa expires. Comments suggest that upon leaving Thailand and re-entering before the visa's expiration date, the user can be granted another year of stay, provided they have the correct type of visa and adhere to the conditions, such as acquiring a re-entry permit.

Once you get stamped for 1 year of Admitted to Stay until July 2020 you can go to immigration and get a single or multi re-entry permit. This will allow you to leave Thailand and still keep your same admitted to Stay.

Thanks, as long as you enter Thailand before 02 July 2020 you get 1 year of Admitted to Stay stamped in your passport.
, we do not know the visa, we can not see inside your passport from here. please make a picture, blank out the personal details and post it here so we can make sure you get the correct information.

Can I return to USA and return before my visa expires and get stamped in for another year

If you in fact have an O-A visa, you will not get another year by leaving Thailand. But you will get another year if you RETURN to Thailand before the visa expires

That depends on your visa. Open your passport take a look and if you see Non Immigrant O-A visa and you got 1 year of Admitted to Stay when you first entered Thailand, you can leave and come back before the valid until date and get a new year Admitted to Stay.
