I am in the United States now I want to go back to Bankok and get married and apply for a marriage visa. Can anyone tell me is it somewhat easy to do the paperwork without an agent? I am divorced and so is my future wife. Any help would be greatly appreciated

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on obtaining a marriage visa in Thailand while doing the paperwork without an agent. Comments emphasize the importance of bringing original divorce certificates to the embassy, attending an interview at the US Embassy in Bangkok, and ensuring that documents are properly translated by certified translators. Various resources are suggested, including step-by-step guides and community support groups.
I did a K1 visa back in 2017. Itβs not hard to do by yourself. I found these visa guides invaluable.

When I got married in Thailand all my translations had to be by a β certified Translatorβ , stamped with official Thai certifications.
And if you are doing a prenuptial agreement, it has to be filed with the new marriage papers, simultaneously. Not the next day or later or itβs not valid.
Frist thing is you have to go to the usa embassy in Bangkok to get an interview for the embassy to confirm that you are not married to anyone else then you can go to get married to your thai lady, you don't need any agent to help you so save your money and time. It will help you bring your divorce papers to the embassy, also you will need the documents from English to thai you will be able to find a translation officer near the embassy
CNI Document completed...π Take that, divorce papers and copy of passport, they review and approve with legal stamps etc, can take a day or 2 to be ready for collection. Translate all these from English to Thai can take up to a week and around 2000thb per page...π
