Did you got a proof of your embassy or a proof they don't send these letters? (if yes, can you tell me how to get it?)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around German nationals in Thailand seeking extensions related to COVID-19. Many participants shared their experiences regarding the requirements for extension letters from the German embassy, indicating that such letters are not always necessary. It seems that providing a valid reason for remaining in Thailand, such as flight cancellations or restrictions, is often sufficient for immigration officers to grant extensions.

Got already 2 Covid extensions at Chiang Rai immigration. Told the officer that German embassy doesn't issue these letters. She didn't insist on such a letter and was fine with that.
Will see next week about possibility to get another extension before 29th January.
yes but never read about some One How got a extension for visa that expires after 29.1

Not sure but you do not need a letter these days.
At minimum just a reason why you can’t leave (Koh samui is easiest), and sometimes they might want to see proof of why you can’t (flight restrictions / cancelled flight)

and did you call/email, or go look at the website of the german embassy here to see IF they issue the covid letter?

IF they offer it, get it, if they don't, just go apply for the covid extension
