Hi everyone, I’m in Thailand on a TR visa and already got a 30 day extension. Next week I wanna try my luck at BKK immigration and ask for the COVID extension. Does anyone know which counter you have to choose when you book your appointment online?

I talked to immigration on the phone today and two different officers told me that you need a letter from the embassy recommending you to stay in Thailand as the situation there would be better than back home. I emailed my embassy (German) today and asked for it. But knowing my folks I doubt they’ll do it. Has anyone gotten an extension without such letter? Cheers!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is currently in Thailand on a TR visa and has received a 30-day extension. They are planning to request a COVID extension at the Bangkok immigration office and are seeking guidance on the appointment counter and the necessity of a letter from their embassy for the extension. Responses from the community suggest that the Muang Thong Thani immigration office is the correct location and that a letter from the embassy is not required, emphasizing the importance of making an appointment.

You go to Muang Thong Thani immigration office.

You want Section K

You don't need an embassy letter
