TLDR : Answer Summary
The 90-day reporting date typically does not reset after applying for a new extension of stay in Thailand, according to experiences shared by expats. It appears that different immigration offices may have differing practices. In most cases, the 90-day report continues to follow the date of the last entry into the country, unless a new reporting slip is issued that indicates a reset.

Ok thanks all. So guess its 89 days after I returned to the country.

Okay, here's a way to tell IF they reset your 90 day reporting clock when you do your yearly extension.

IF you get a NEW 90 day reporting slip they reset it, IF you don't get one they didn't :O

No reset at Chaeng Watthana. I went out of the country last July, and despite just doing a year extension, my 90 days are still following on from that last reset (July 2018, when I went out of country last)

(not my first extension though)

CW counts your first extension as a 90 day report, so it is in sync for a the first year (depending on when you report), but subsequent extensions do not count as a report.

. Depending on if you make your 90 day reopts early, it all goes out of sync,,,, but then they bring it back in line with your last report, which then ends on the day your extension is due.

This is Korat, other areas may have a different approach.!.!

From my experience at chaeng wattana there is no reset - the 2 counters are independent

I thought it did once, and i came home from renewing my extension, then found out my 90 days was a day before expiring on the 6th day after,,,, speeded back quick just before they closed.... However, your 90 days does start from the day you enter the Country if you have been out.

Depends on your Immigration Office. Some offices like to match your 90 days reports with the application of Extension of Stay.

Samui actually puts a reminder when the next one is due in your passport when you get your extension. 90 days from that day.

No complaints about service at all.... Nice people to deal with at Korat Immigration.

@Robert ******
. Korat does. Just done my 4th 90 report on mine. It now ends just over one months time on 9th July.

It would appear that if you report early, you actually lose the remaining days..... Not counted from when you should have reported.!.!

Unlike your one year extension which is the same date every year regardless of when you renew it.

No big deal as there is no charge for the 90 reports.

nope, they don't reset your 90 day report when you get a new yearly extension at Chaengwattana.
