I recently received my second 1-year extension based on marriage from Bangkok immigration.
Does my 90-day reporting reset and start again?
I applied on 27 Jan, got the stamp on 17 Feb. Valid until 14 Feb 2024.
When do I report first? According to my previous online report in December, I'd have had to report now in March. I did, and it was rejected with this reason: The Advance notification must be made within 15 days before but not less than 7 days
The email doesn't mention the most important thing of course... When I'd need to report myself.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 90-day reporting obligation does not automatically reset with a new visa extension. Whether it resets depends on whether a new 90-day report receipt is issued at the time of the extension. If one is provided, the reporting date resets; if not, the original due date remains valid. In this case, the original reporting date remains unless a new receipt is given.

The O/P applied online the day before their report was due the immigration office rejected it (even though they should have accepted it) π
Not much to be done other than slogging out to Chaengwattana and applying for a 90 day report on or before the 27th of this month π

Need to be mindful of your 90-day obligation, totally separate to visa extension dates, as unlike exiting the country, the 90-day clock does not reset when obtaining a new extension.
In saying that, sometimes an office will reset your 90 days at the same time if within the reporting window, they will tell you and provide a new slip. You too can report your 90 days whilst there with the usual paperwork but like Tod has said, without obtaining a new 90-day receipt at the time of your extension, then presume it wasnt reset.

I would say NO you did not get your 90 day report reset when you applied for a new extension and that means you'd use the OLD receipt and due date you have in your passport as when you should file
They did mess up with the rejection email, you can really apply online any time from 2 weeks before the due date right on down to the actual due date.
You say you filed one in Dec and have to report in March π How about looking at that 90 day report receipt from then and see what date it was due?
If it's after the due date you have 7 days after the due date to go in person and file without getting a 2000baht failure to file a 90 day report on time fine
Here's the fool proof way for you and for EVERYONE to know IF when they get a year extension at their immigration office did that office reset the 90 day reporting.
Ask yourself:
When I applied for my extension OR got my extension inked into my passport did the officer give me a NEW 90 day report receipt?
If that answer is YES and you did get a new 90 day report receipt from the immigration office when you got your new extension then they DID reset your 90 day reporting and you use the new paper they gave you
If that answer is NO and you did not get a new 90 day report receipt from the immigration office when you got your new extension then they DID NOT reset your 90 day reporting and your report is due like normal on the date of the 90 day receipt you have
