The consensus among community members is that simply having an investment portfolio does not qualify for the DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) in Thailand. It appears that additional documentation like bank statements, proof of income, and evidence of active trading activities are crucial for eligibility. Users have shared experiences that suggest demonstrating a solid income (around $85K) and providing thorough financial proof can strengthen one's application. There are also recommendations to explore alternatives such as the Elite Visa.
If you can demonstrate an income of around $85k and proof you can complete work remotely you at least have a decent case but I would speak with a visa agent for more info mate

I read that someone got DTV by showing his properties and real estate contracts, screenshots of exchanges with tenants, letter of himself explaining he manage his property remotely and can do it from anywhere

Better get Elite Visa than this DTV

You can be an investor/trader as an occupation but you still need to show your bank statements. That’s how I got mine

No. If you can show you are an active trader you might get somewhere but just holding investments won't qualify.

what does active trading mean? Also which stocks we talking about… I find Thai markets to be very dull to trade…
