I’m currently in the process of applying for the Thailand DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) for myself, my wife, and my son.
I live and work in Malaysia on a Category 1 Employment Pass, and my employer allows remote work. All required documents from my employer will be provided, and I meet the DTV eligibility requirements.
However, I have never visited Thailand before and I don’t have a strong travel history. I’m a Pakistani national.
My question is: Does previous travel history (or not having visited Thailand before) affect DTV approval?
Would really appreciate insights from anyone with similar experience. Thanks in advance! 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
Applicants for Thailand's Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) do not need a strong previous travel history for their application to be approved. The evaluation focuses more on employment, income, and provided documents. Long overstays in Thailand could negatively impact the application, but lack of prior visits generally does not affect approval.
The DTV application is evaluated based on the merits of the application, not anything to do with travel history. The only thing travel history wise that could negatively affect your application would be long overstays in Thailand, which you don't have.
For Thailand’s Digital Nomad Visa, limited travel history usually isn’t an issue they care more about your employment, income, and documents. Check out Landscape for more related tips.
