Without traveling before Thailand, is it possible to apply for Thailand DTV visa?

I am confuse. I was planning to apply for DTV visa. But some Thailand visa application center in Dhaka, Bangladesh saying without any previous Thailand travel history not possible to apply for DTV visa. I am a freelancer. I already mailed to embassy about it but didn't get any response yet.

I think you do not go directly thru the Thai Embassy in Dhaka but instead use one of the "authorized service providers" like VFS Global
