Does an 8-hour layover in Hamad (Qatar) count as entering a different country when flying to Thailand from the US?
If my flight to Thailand has an 8hr layover in a different country (Hamad) does that count as coming from a different country even tho I'm from the US?

No that is Doha international airport you will be confined to the transit area that means you will not have entered Qatar you are in transit and coming directly from USA immigration wise.

No it’s a layover. I came from Hawaii and my layover was in south Korea.
