Hi all thanks for the add. A border question. If I’m arriving and departing Thailand by land, via Malaysia, do I still need proof of planned departure? Would a bus or train ticket do?! And I presume visa requirements are the same at a land border as at an airport?
TIA
TLDR : Answer Summary
When entering Thailand by land from Malaysia, you will still need to provide proof of onward travel, which can be a train or bus ticket. Although it is an official requirement, it is mentioned that immigration officials may not strictly enforce it. However, travelers should be aware that crossing into Thailand by land is limited to twice per calendar year.
