Hi. Here's a quickie. If you have a non 'o' for volunteering +WP, but go and volunteer for another foundation, do you have to leave the country and re-apply for another non 'o'? Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you hold a Non-O visa for volunteering tied to one organization and you wish to volunteer for another, you must first cancel your work permit associated with the original organization. If your Non-O visa does not specify the organization, the new foundation can apply for a new work permit for you. However, if you are on an Extension of Stay, you must cancel it on the same day as the work permit and apply for a new one or leave the country.

As soon as you stop volunteering for the organization you have to cancel the work permit. IF you are inside Thailand on the 90 days from your Non Immigrant O visa based on being a volunteer and this visa does not have writing on it about the organization, the new organization can apply for a new Work Permit, otherwise you need a new visa. IF you are on an Extension of Stay, stamp from Immigration you need to cancel this on the same day as your Work Permit and apply for a new Extension of Stay or leave the country the same day.
Or you leave the same day or you apply for new Extension of Stay, cost 1.900 Thb and get Extension of Stay not approved stamp in your passport and 7 days to leave the country.
Thank you. One more thing, you say apply for a new extension of stay. But based on what, if you've cancelled work permit and are saying you are leaving the foundation that your visa was based on?
