Does a DTV activate automatically upon entry to Thailand or can I delay switching until my Non-O extension ends?

The DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) is activated from the date of issue. If you receive the DTV in December and travel to Thailand in April, you would lose approximately four months of validity. It's possible to wait until your Non-O extension expires in April to switch to DTV, but applying in advance may be beneficial since DTV applications in London typically receive fast approval, often within seven business days.
