Hi all, for the booking hotel proof to get a SETV visa, does it need to be for all your stay or can be for a couple of days considering you might travel around Thailand without fixed plan ? Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a SETV visa, it may not be necessary to provide hotel booking confirmation for the entire stay. Many applicants successfully use a booking for as little as three days. However, requirements can vary by consulate, with some expecting proof of accommodation for the entire duration. It's also possible to utilize refundable bookings that allow for cancellation after obtaining the visa. Additionally, if staying with a local, an invitation letter and relevant identification documents may be required.
None of these papers actually have to be real, you can easily knock up some flight and hotel papers without actually paying, takes 5 min's and they don't check, been doing it for years at all immigration.
For other visa application (my wife to visit UK and Ireland for example) when we had no fixed plan I booked online with a rate that allowed cancellation with no fee. Get the visa and cancel the booking...
That is totally consulate dependent. Some consulates state on their websites that you must have a hotel or confirmed lodging for your entire stay. Some don't mention any time frame and you can just show a booking for a few days.
