Hi, advice please ?

I’m coming to Thailand in July for 32 nights. I need a tourist visa which is causing me a bit of confusion.

It’s asking me for an address in Thailand. Do I have to book my hotel/s for the whole duration to obtain a visa or can I just book an initial hotel for 1 night as I,m unsure of where I will be going yet within Thailand.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a tourist visa to Thailand, you do not need to book accommodation for your entire stay. It is sufficient to provide the address of your first night’s hotel. You can opt for a fully refundable hotel booking for this purpose. This approach allows flexibility in your travel plans and avoids complications related to having to show proof of a long-term stay.

Just put address of where your staying the first night you arrive. In Australia they don't ask for any proof of the booking just ask where.

Thanks all. I’m coming for over 30 days so visa on arrival is not an option as I’ve booked return flights. I don’t want to risk airline not allowing us to travel.

60 day visa asks for an address. We will go down the route of booking a refundable hotel.

One last question. Should this be for the duration of our trip ?

Many thanks

Visa on Arrival isn't an option as you aren't from an eligible country.

Your choice is

Visa Exemption (you get on arrival) 30 days plus 30 when extended. Total 60 days

Tourist Visa 60 days plus 30 if extended.

Total 90 days

You don't need to show booked accommodation for the full duration of your stay

just come to Thailand and then visit Cambodia before you've been here 30 days. You can get a tour from Bangkok to Angkor Wat in Siem Reap. About 2-3 days. Fly back to Thailand and reset the visa time.

Come on the the visa exemption and extend that once in Thailand for a further 30 days 1900THB

Just give the name and city of the first hotel.

Your tourist visa will probably be 30 days and it’s best not to have an overstay on your record. Others will tell you how to extend your trip….

no tourist visa is 30 days. If he gets a tourist Visa he will get 60 days

Make a fully refundable booking with Booking.com, or another on line booking system, that offers this option. Just make sure of the booking conditions (ie) no prepayment and refundable. You can then use the confirmation and cancel later.
