I live in London and I need to apply for the DTV Visa. Do you have to do it all online or can you actually go to the embassy in person because I’ve rang them half a dozen times and nobody ever answers and anybody know how long it takes once you’ve applied

TLDR : Answer Summary
You must apply for the DTV Visa online as in-person applications at the embassy are no longer accepted. The London embassy is noted to be efficient in processing applications, with a typical turnaround of about two working weeks, provided all supporting documents are accurately submitted.

How long does the money have to be in your Thai bank account before you can get the Visa

you're applying in UK. Not Thailand. Look on the embassy website for the info on applying in UK.

it says evidence you have proof of 500,000 tbt. In your bank. It doesn't say in a Thai bank account so perhaps equivalent amount in your bank. On DTV can't open Thai bank account.

I understood that it's financial proof from your bank where you're applying. That would be UK.

All online. The London embassy is pretty quick for a visa turnaround if yiu have submitted all the correct supporting documents, although they state to expect 2 working weeks. Are you applying via a soft power? If so you will need the documents from them saying you have booked onto.an appropriate course or if medical treatment then an approved plan

It all done online these days. You can’t go to the embassy anymore.
