Should I apply for the DTV Visa online or in-person at the Thai Embassy in Taiwan?

So I’ll be applying for DTV in about 4-5 months and I’m a little nervous because I want to get it right the first time. I’m currently in Vietnam and I know you can apply for it online but I was thinking it might be better for me to fly to Taiwan and apply at the Thai Embassy there just in case I need help someone in person can help me out. Or do you think I should just apply for it online?

All dtv applications is now online but you have to be in the region that embassy serve.
I recommend hanoi or vientiane in laos.

When uploading documents on the DTV website, does everything need to be in a single file somehow? merged into one pdf? They asked for all 50 pages of passport for example, and there aren’t 50 boxes and when you upload one the previous disappears. Are they all uploaded regardless? How are many files supposed to be uploaded with just a single chance to upload?

OPPietro Romeo when do you plan on applying? I heard that it shows you what’s required when filling it out before you submit all your paperwork which will be slightly different depending on the embassy that processes it.

Jay Fit I'm in the process of saving enough money and from what I heard you gotta keep it in your bank account for ~3months so I would apply not earlier than may-june

OPPietro Romeo I think when you use the online platform to apply it will list their requirements on there before submitting the paperwork. But I’ve also heard that some places only require one month of 500,000 Baht and others 3 months.

Jay Fit I heard HCMC is recently one of the easiest. Try to do your own research with recent posts about HCMC but they seem very positive

don’t fret just apply online It takes me a few times to get it right so take your BP meds before your first attempt. Eventually you will achieve success.

I'm a little confused about your post. You're going to be applying online regardless of where you are. All Thai visas have moved to the online Thai e-visa system. The only difference is which embassy processes the application based on where you are when you apply.

ahhh thank you that makes sense I thought you could apply in-person as well but if they’ve moved it to all online then that will b easier in general. I just hope if I apply for it in Vietnam which ever embassy processes me is not really strict or something.

Jay Fit I was one of last walk in ....Vientiane.....just much sure you have all the files they ask for ...for income you need to show that is your everyday living account ...I use my Australian account ...and the lady at window asked me where is all my living cost ...and I show her large withdrawals...and stated that I use cash mainly ..

Peter James Duffy a question for my future reference, if you can answer it for me... I have two linked accounts with the same bank. One is an everyday transaction account where I have my pension deposited and use it for daily transactions. The other account is a higher interest savings account.
When I apply for a Non-O Visa, would they accept as proof of funds what's in my savings account, which I can withdraw from or deposit into at any time? That's where my savings are kept with occasional movements in and out. Or, would they only accept my transaction account, my 'daily use' account, as proof of funds?
