DTV VISA APPROVED IN TAIPEI!

A quick story…

So I wasn’t planning on getting my DTV Visa until January 2025.

But my friend told me that things were going online by then so I decided to do it sooner.

I found this FB group at the end of November and started reading through the post.

It took me almost a week of research and a few trips to the printing shop to put together all the required documents.

But I did it.

And then, I booked my flight to Taipei on December 8th and on December 9th, I went to the Thai Embassy at 9am.

I’ve seen a few people mention that they were getting strict with the requirements and they were definitely right.

Thank goodness I went over and beyond what was required because they were not afraid to ask questions and require proof.

I left the Thai Embassy at 11:00am all sweaty and flustered.

They told me to come back at 4:00pm to find out if I got it or not.

That wait in between felt like the longest 5 hours ever.

But I knew that I did everything that I could and it was out of my hands.

So when I came back at 4pm, they asked for the visa fee and told me to come back the next day.

I was almost in disbelief because of how hard they interviewed me earlier that day.

Anyway, here I am today, December 10th, holding my DTV Visa!

Thanks again to this group, I couldn’t have done it without everyone’s help!

If you want to go to Taipei to apply for your DTV Visa, just go through all the previous post about it because I just followed what everyone said and it totally worked.

what held me back was the money conversion because I get paid in USD, I have a Canadian bank and Stripe takes out fees when they transfer the money to my account so things didn't fully match. That took a bit of time to explain that to them!
Andi ***********
@Myke ***********
ok, I see, they like to match up everything. Great it worked out......a big sigh of relief no doubt...

mostly the money trail from the invoice, Stripe, etc. They wanted to see client names, what they paid, and how that ended up in my bank account. They wanted dates, names, etc. Also, they wanted to see my name and company name on all my invoices and bank accounts. And the incorporation documents, they were all over that! Oh and good call on having the 500k THB in my personal account, that was a huge help thanks to you!

, I hear you! It's a bit chilly here compared to Bangkok that's for sure!

@Brian *******
Did you apply in Taipei too?
Brian ********
@Andi **********
I went under the Muay Thai option. I didn’t have an interview but they did request an “employment contract” even though it’s not listed on the embassy website. It delayed my approval by one day but everything thing else went smooth.
Andi ***********
@Brian *******
Did they say why they wanted an employment contract?
Achanster ******
@Andi **********
but what kind of employment contract? Nothing to do with thr Muay Thai course?
Andi ***********
@Achanster *****
it is a work contract. Not to do with. The course.
Brian ********
@Andi **********
no.. it was sort of perplexing to me but I just did what they asked with a smile :)
Andi ***********
@Brian *******
Yeah best to smile and comply...
