We have officially purchased our plane tickets and we are preparing to file for visa because we don't arrive until Aug. 3, 2026. We have been trying to connect with an agent but haven't had success in connecting. We are wondering when we file for DTV visa do we each apply separately as married or is there a joint application process?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for the DTV visa in Thailand, each spouse must apply separately. It's advisable for the main visa holder to submit their application first, then the spouse can apply as a dependent referencing the main applicant's approved visa number. Applications should be submitted no more than three months before the intended arrival date.

You should never purchase tickets until your visa application is approved That's rule number 1 and immigration of every country states that . For a spouse ti apply they usually do after the original person applies they do as a dependent. Its easier to do individually and doesnt effect either application. But both application process are a personal choice people have previously done both. You can search in this group for previous posts

Apply no more than 3 months before your intended arrival date. The main DTV holder will apply first and then a spouse will apply referencing the approved DTV visa number of the main visa holder.

YES, a VISA is personal like the passport, there are no joint applications.
