What are the DTV visa application steps for freelancers currently in Vietnam?
Hello! Is there anyone here who would be willing to help me 1:1 with explaining the DTV process for a freelance worker? I am currently in Vietnam. I'd be interested in jumping on a call.

2. As a freelancer you’d need to show steady work with on going projects or contracts
3. You’d need to show proof of funds 500,000 Thai baht in an account under your name the history is usually 3-6 months ( some embassies ask for 3 months; some ask for 6 )
4. Embassies have started asking for tax history for the past two years now, not sure if this is mandatory for all but I’ve seen many state they’ve been asked for such. Always best to have it prepared in the event you’re one to be asked

Rules have changed. You now have to apply in your resident country. If needed i can explain ofc.

So far the replies here are only about whether you can, or cannot, apply from where you are based on what nationality you appear not to be.
Waiting for replies (which so far have been nothing about the actual step by step process) can be put to more productive use by putting in some research work yourself. Or is this not the kind of " freelance work" you are capable of?

Agree with “what’s this group for if you can’t ask a question “. So ask the question here then. Why need to jump on a call? You can also search in this group. Peter Lim’s response may have been rude but a highly educated person like you should know better and responded better that you have a unique situation and have indeed done your research but couldn’t find an answer. But again, looking at your original post, it doesn’t seem like it.

Are you Vietnamese or with a Permanent Residence permit/card in Vietnam? If not, you can't apply from there.

the majority are done online now. Unless you have either PR or a TRC in Vietnam then you have to return to your passport country to apply, or another country in which you have a permanent residence in.

Well for one you don't look Vietnamese so you can't apply from there, unless you have Vietnamese PR. You'll need to be in your home country or country of PR and obtain a police clearance.

PositiveSloth7568 Someone posted a reply a few days ago from the embassy detailing TRC holders can apply in Vietnam. Singapore, holders of the SPass which is non perm visa can apply also. Embassies differ on their approval of non perm residents applying.
