I’ve read that tourists still need to advise authorities of location - even with the amnesty April 30 extension. Does anyone know about this?

TLDR : Answer Summary
There seems to be confusion regarding the requirement for tourists to notify authorities of their location in Thailand even after the amnesty extension until April 30. Some users believe that the TM30 notification requirement is not suspended and that tourists still need to inform local authorities about their whereabouts. Others mention that while it's good practice to notify your embassy, staying in a hotel may suffice since they typically manage the TM30 filings. Caution is advised, as failing to comply could result in a fine.
Michelle. I would err on the side of caution and do it anyway, unless you're staying in a hotel in which case they will do it. You need to file the form within 24 hours of arrival, so I'm guessing you're over that time. It's no big deal. At worst probably an 800baht fine the next time you go to immigration
