Do Thai embassies require bank funds to be in the account for a specific duration for DTV applications?

Hi again everyone, I’ve got another DTV question on behalf of a friend. They’ve got well over the required amount in their bank account, but the funds haven’t been sitting there for 3 months—it was transferred in more recently. Does anyone know if this matters to the embassy, or will they usually approve the application as long as the available funds meet the requirement?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The approval of a long-term DTV visa application can vary by embassy. While some consulates may accept bank funds that were recently deposited, others may require the funds to have been in the account for a minimum period, often three to six months. It's advisable to ask the specific embassy for their requirements regarding bank deposit history.

Every embassy or consulate is different

. Your friend should look at the embassy or consulate where the application will be submitted

Which embassy are they using? Some embassies approve with a 1 hr old deposit others require it to be seasoned for 3- 6months.

Ask the Embassy you will be applying at as not all are the same

From another DTV group, they said every embassy is different

Some ppl have been approved, and some were requested for more docs around this

At the Vancouver Canada consulate it didn't matter. But as always - every embassy might have different requirements 😊
