What should I do if the Thai Consulate in Dubai asks for additional bank statements for my DTV application?

Hi everyone!

I’m wondering if anyone here has applied for a DTV through the Thai Consulate in Dubai?

I already submitted my application with a 6-month bank statement showing the required 500,000 THB, but I just got a message from the consulate asking for “other bank statements to support for 3 months as well.”

The thing is—I only have one account, and the big deposit was recently transferred from a family friend who’s supporting me. It was a genuine gift to help me meet the visa requirements. Now I’m not sure if they’re asking for:

* Another account?

* Or just suspicious about the large transfer and want more proof?

If anyone has been through something similar or applied via the Dubai consulate, I’d really appreciate your advice or experience!

Thanks in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice regarding their DTV application at the Thai Consulate in Dubai. They submitted their application with a six-month bank statement showing 500,000 THB but received a request for additional bank statements. The user is unsure if the consulate wants statements from another account or if they are questioning the large recent deposit meant to meet the visa requirements. Comments suggest the user might need to wait until the funds are in their account longer or clarify the recent deposit's timeline.

Are you Thai?

Then apply again, when the money has been long enough in YOUR account, even when that will cost you 1 more visafee ( 10.000+ baht )

You can not get the visa, if you don’t fullfill the most basic requirement.

so possibly they need money to be there for 3-6 months?
Henrik *****
Not possible, the 500.000 baht HAS TO have been in the bank in your personal account, as long as that Embassy require ( up to 6 month ).

It is the most basic requirement, and if you can’t fullfill that, you shouldn’t apply.

PS. Do not expect to get any answers to emails sent to the Embassy
